Sir George is now executive chairman or director of a number of technology ventures.

About Sir George Zambellas
Sir George Zambellas served as First Sea Lord and Head of the Royal Navy from 2013 to 2016. During his tenure, he brought maritime delivery to the forefront of Government priorities, championing UK/US collaboration and driving innovation in naval operations.An aeronautics and astronautics graduate, Sir George has a passion for technical transformation, and his leadership led to historic advancements in maritime autonomy.
Since retiring from military service, he has taken on executive and advisory roles with tech companies in the US and UK accelerating breakthroughs in emerging sectors.
In 2023, King Charles appointed Sir George as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, a prestigious post held by historical figures such as Winston Churchill and Her Majesty The Queen Mother.

We kindly ask that members only sign up for events that they are certain they can attend. If you’re unable to attend an event, please contact the Events Team at least 7 days in advance, or as soon as possible in case of an emergency. If an emergency does happen, please reach out to your contacts in the Helm network and offer your place to them.
Remember, cancelling an event or not showing up means that another member may miss out on a unique opportunity, as well as there being a financial cost to Helm for the venue hire and staff time.
