Ali Parsa is a serial healthcare and technology entrepreneur. He founded V&G, Circle (the largest hospital group in the UK) and Babylon ($1.5bn in revenue and $4.5bn IPO). Ali has been the recipient of multiple awards including the American TA’s Annual Leadership in Care Transformation, Health Investor’s Outstanding Contribution by an Individual, Lloyds Bank’s Entrepreneur of the year, and World Government Summit’s Innovator of the year. Ali has a PHD in engineering physics from the University of London and an honorary doctorate for services to Medicine from UCL.

Circle is today UK’s largest private hospital group. Babylon was once healthtech’s golden child, and Ali Parsa its visionary leader. The company went public in 2021 with a valuation of $4.2 billion. In 2022, it became the first European healthtech company, and one of the few globally, to achieve over $1 billion in revenue, growing an astonishing 400% annually from 2019 to 2022. However, by the end of 2023, Babylon was sold and seized to exist.

Despite its end, Babylon remains one of Europe's greatest healthtech successes. Its pioneering vision, unprecedented growth, and radical approach laid the groundwork for the industry, altering perceptions, increasing valuations, and shaping the future of healthtech.
